Water rates to increase

TO: All Oneida Water and Wastewater Customers

RE: Water and Sewer Rates

Dear Customer:

It has been 10 years since Oneida Water and Wastewater has had an increase in rates. Due to inflation, the economic downturn, and the rising costs of chemicals, parts, and other materials, the State of Tennessee Water and Wastewater Management Review Board is requiring Oneida Water to raise water and sewer rates effective immediately.

The water rates for some customers will be below the current rates, but overall, the rates will increase. The following changes will be made:

The $4.50 surcharge will be removed.

Water Rates:

1. Customers inside the city will pay $12.11 (plus tax) for the first 2,000 gallons and $4.55 for each additional 1,000 gallons.

2. Customers outside the city will pay $17.78 (plus tax) for the first 2,000 gallons and $7.00 for each additional 1,000 gallons.

Sewer Rates:

1. Customers inside the city will pay $16.80 for the first 2,000 gallons and $4.80 for each additional 1,000 gallons.

2. Customers outside the city will pay $17.81 for the first 2,000 gallons and $8.90 for each additional 1,000 gallons.

Sincerely,

Johnny B. Acres
